Team members come from a variety of backgrounds, including economics, psychology, and political science.\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eSBST doesn’t test out random interventions. They use methods that have already been researched, tested and proven. In the case of the small farmers, SBST helped the Department of Agriculture (USDA) develop a new outreach letter that provided information about a microloan program as well as customized contact information for loan officers in the farmers’ area.
