Each of those steps adds hurdles and is why it’s a risky and expensive proposition for government agencies unless they’re offering a specific experience that absolutely \u003cem\u003eneeds\u003c/em\u003e to be an app.\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis steep climb and the difficulty to retain customers are core reasons I predicted that apps would lose some steam as mobile-optimized websites get better in \u003ca href=\"/preview/gsa/digitalgov.gov/snyk-fix-08ac0319715b31f28b1a7897cd249f39/2016/01/12/trends-on-tuesday-10-mobile-government-and-tech-trends-for-2016/\"\u003emy government tech and mobile trends for 2016\u003c/a\u003e.\u003c/p\u003e\n"}
