There were two panels of experienced managers that gave attendees insight into the institutionalization of prizes at their agencies and what makes-up a successful challenge. Finally, attendees were also able to garner exactly what they need to provide for the America COMPETES annual Congressional reporting.\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis event brought together more than 70 practitioners in-person and online, and we’ll be sharing the clips from the livestream in the very near future. It now enables agencies to create and manage their competitions on a robust back-end platform. You can \u003ca href=\"http://youtu.be/Yw58jVvppAw?list=PLd9b-GuOJ3nFeJeAHAn3Z5opohjxIw8OC\"\u003elearn more about the Challenge.gov platform\u003c/a\u003e and \u003ca href=\"https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qXYar-2de44\u0026amp;index=1\u0026amp;list=PLd9b-GuOJ3nFeJeAHAn3Z5opohjxIw8OC\"\u003ehow to use Challenge.gov\u003c/a\u003e in these two webinars.\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003ch2 id=\"open-sourced-ideation-platform\"\u003eOpen-Sourced Ideation Platform\u003c/h2\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) also presented their \u003ca href=\"http://youtu.be/KRQ24645LOE?list=PLd9b-GuOJ3nFeJeAHAn3Z5opohjxIw8OC\"\u003eopen sourced ideation tool, IdeaBox\u003c/a\u003e, to the community in October of this year. This event showcased how you can build an innovation program by leveraging CFPB’s open-source ideation platform, replicating their lightweight staffing model, and using their playbook of resources. They use the platform to crowdsource ideas from employees across the agency. IdeaBox source code is shared openly on Github for anybody to use.\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003ch2 id=\"getting-started\"\u003eGetting Started\u003c/h2\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eBut, if you are just getting started hosted some events that will jump-start your thinking and help you develop a plan of attack. First, we hosted \u003cstrong\u003eCristin Dorgelo\u003c/strong\u003e, former Assistant Director for Grand Challenges at the Office of Science Technology and Policy at the White House, to give a \u003ca href=\"http://youtu.be/Frwk3Fvw_H4?list=PLd9b-GuOJ3nFeJeAHAn3Z5opohjxIw8OC\"\u003erundown of how challenge and prize initiatives can benefit your agency\u003c/a\u003e and steps you need to take to get started.\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eYou may also be interested in watching \u003ca href=\"http://youtu.be/wieTrYMT4zM?list=PLd9b-GuOJ3nFeJeAHAn3Z5opohjxIw8OC\"\u003eWhy Your Challenge \u0026amp; Prize Competition Needs a Communication Strategy\u003c/a\u003e. In this event, learn why a robust communications plan is essential to a successful challenge, what methods of communication you should think about, what has worked and not worked for \u003ca href=\"http://www.securingwaterforfood.org/the-desal-prize/\"\u003eThe Desal Prize\u003c/a\u003e, and how you can structure your prize competition communication strategy.\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIf you are thinking about launching a video competition then you may be interested in watching \u003ca href=\"https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kaK90anXf7w\u0026amp;index=7\u0026amp;list=PLd9b-GuOJ3nFeJeAHAn3Z5opohjxIw8OC\"\u003eRunning a Successful Video Challenge\u003c/a\u003e. The presenter for this event, \u003cstrong\u003eJason Crusan\u003c/strong\u003e, Director CoECI NASA, presents a case study of how NASA has used professional crowdsourcing for video creation. \u003cstrong\u003eTammi Marcoullier\u003c/strong\u003e, Challenge.gov Program Manager, reviews getting from A to B, or how to decide what kind of video challenge you want to execute by examining your goals.\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFinally, you can take a look at the \u003ca href=\"http://youtu.be/oLAtcfGCcdc?list=PLd9b-GuOJ3nFeJeAHAn3Z5opohjxIw8OC\"\u003esummary of our event on Design Thinking\u003c/a\u003e and how this workshop helped folks working on challenge and prize competitions think through the design and execution of their challenge.
