He oversees the Office of the Chief Information Officer, managing the agency’s $600 million information technology budget and ensuring alignment with agency and administration strategic objectives and priorities.\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eMr. Shive joined the U.S. General Services Administration’s Office of the Chief Information Officer in November 2012. Prior to being named CIO, he was the Director of the Office of Enterprise Infrastructure, responsible for the enterprise information technology infrastructure platforms and capability that support the GSA business enterprise. He was also the Acting Director of HR and FM Systems for the GSA CFO and CPO offices.\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003ch3 id=\"panelist-1-ann-kim-deputy-cio-at-department-of-education\"\u003ePanelist #1: Ann Kim, Deputy CIO at Department of Education\u003c/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eAnn Kim\u003c/strong\u003e currently serves as the Deputy Chief Information Officer (CIO) and Senior Agency Official for Privacy (SAOP) at the US Department of Education (ED). ED is a cabinet level agency with over 4,400 employees – geographically dispersed between Headquarters and 10 regional offices, ~$70B budget, and ~130 information systems that process over $1.0T in federal student aid and grants. In concert with the CIO, Ann oversees a ~$750M information technology (IT) portfolio. In her role, she serves as a principal advisor to the CIO, Assistant Secretaries, Deputy Secretary, and Secretary with respect to the use of IT to support and enable the Department’s mission and business processes. Ann assists the CIO with the day-to-day coordination and management of the various functions within the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO), and advises ED leadership regarding IT, information management, and information assurance.\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003ch3 id=\"panelist-2-nelly-ramdass-deputy-coo-at-cfpb\"\u003ePanelist #2: Nelly Ramdass, Deputy COO at CFPB\u003c/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eNellisha Ramdass\u003c/strong\u003e (Nelly) is currently the Deputy Chief Operating Officer at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. Nelly joined the Bureau in 2011 and has served in multiple roles within the Technology and Innovation (T\u0026amp;I) Office including as the Deputy CIO and Head of T\u0026amp;I Team Operations where she was instrumental in building the team. Prior to joining the Bureau, Nelly held various senior roles related to information technology, acquisitions and budget at the Department of Education, the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, and the Internal Revenue Service. She holds a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry and business administration from City University of New York, and a master’s degree from Johns Hopkins University, Carey Business School.
