Paul was born in Ohio but spent most of his life in Florida, where he worked as a news researcher-slash-archivist and online editor for the \u003ca href=\"http://www.orlandosentinel.com/\"\u003eOrlando Sentinel\u003c/a\u003e.\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eHe moved to Washington in 2008 for a web editor role with \u003ca href=\"http://www.theguardian.com/us\"\u003eThe Guardian\u003c/a\u003e before working as a contractor for the \u003ca href=\"https://www.energy.gov/node/779761\"\u003eWind\u003c/a\u003e and \u003ca href=\"https://www.energy.gov/node/779756\"\u003eWater\u003c/a\u003e Technologies Office, the \u003ca href=\"https://www.sba.gov/\"\u003eSmall Business Administration\u003c/a\u003e, and DOE’s \u003ca href=\"https://www.energy.gov/eere/office-energy-efficiency-renewable-energy\"\u003eOffice of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy\u003c/a\u003e. Paul joined the Energy.gov team in March 2015, contributing to \u003ca href=\"https://www.energy.gov/blog-archive\"\u003eEnergy Blog\u003c/a\u003e and assisting with managing the Energy Department’s \u003ca href=\"https://www.energy.gov/about-us/web-policies/social-media\"\u003esocial media channels\u003c/a\u003e.
