One of the most resounding comments from digital managers last year was people wanted to be able to attend all of our classes virtually. With very few exceptions, we made sure that there was a virtual component in every training, so that all our attendees, no matter where they were located, can attend and learn.\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003ch2 id=\"4299.graf.graf--h4.graf-after--p\"\u003eAnalytics and new communications technologies, anyone?\u003c/h2\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eSome of our most popular training topics throughout the year focused on using programs such as analytics trainings offered through the \u003ca href=\"/preview/gsa/digitalgov.gov/bc-archive-content-3/guides/dap/\"\u003eDigital Analytics Program\u003c/a\u003e and trainings on how to use the \u003ca href=\"/preview/gsa/digitalgov.gov/bc-archive-content-3/services/search/\"\u003eDigitalGov Search\u003c/a\u003e program. Other popular events were from the various \u003ca href=\"/preview/gsa/digitalgov.gov/bc-archive-content-3/communities/\"\u003eDigitalGov Communities\u003c/a\u003e like the \u003ca href=\"/preview/gsa/digitalgov.gov/bc-archive-content-3/topics/mobile/\"\u003eMobileGov Community of Practice\u003c/a\u003e, \u003ca href=\"/preview/gsa/digitalgov.gov/bc-archive-content-3/communities/challenges-prizes/\"\u003eChallenge and Prizes Community of Practice\u003c/a\u003e, and the \u003ca href=\"https://digital.gov/communities/customer-experience/\"\u003eGovernment Customer Experience Community of Practice\u003c/a\u003e where best practices, case studies, and innovations were shared.\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWe heard that you are interested in the latest tools and trends and how federal agencies are using those products, which is why “\u003ca href=\"https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G82jBHxE4Tk\"\u003eSnaps and Stripes: Sharing Public Service Stories with SnapChat\u003c/a\u003e” was a popular webinar this year. Also, you wanted to know how tools like social listening to address and better understand your audience and their needs so many of you attended the “\u003ca href=\"https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YWhRLCxTYxk\"\u003eListening Before We Speak: Understanding Our Audience in Times of Disaster\u003c/a\u003e” webinar.\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eOne of the highest attended (and highest rated) events came from longtime community member, \u003ca href=\"/preview/gsa/digitalgov.gov/bc-archive-content-3/authors/sam-bronson/\"\u003eSam Bronson\u003c/a\u003e of HHS, who shared the need for actionable analytics and the important steps agencies can take in setting up their own analytics program in his webinar, “\u003ca href=\"https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pjc-dEPBExE\"\u003eThe Golden Partnership: How to Improve Website Findability with Actionable Analytics and Content Analysis\u003c/a\u003e.” In fact, we heard from one attendee following the event who \u003ca href=\"https://medium.com/@DigitalGov/well-begun-is-half-done-lets-tidy-up-the-website-c19134c53af\"\u003ehas written about how it inspired her to take a different approach for a website project\u003c/a\u003e. We’d like to host more events driven by \u003ca href=\"/preview/gsa/digitalgov.gov/bc-archive-content-3/communities/\"\u003ecommunity members in the digital government space\u003c/a\u003e so we look forward to more examples of great work being done in 2017.
