Moreover, there are aspects of FOIA administration that can be addressed in FOIA regulations as a matter of good practice.\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe updates to the \u003ca href=\"https://www.justice.gov/oip/oip-guidance/guidance-agency-foia-regulations\"\u003eguidance\u003c/a\u003e and accompanying \u003ca href=\"https://www.justice.gov/oip/template-agency-foia-regulations\"\u003etemplate\u003c/a\u003e for agency FOIA regulations include:\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cul\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eNotifications to requesters of assistance from FOIA Public Liaisons and the Office of Government Information Services,\u003c/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eNinety-day minimum time period to file an administrative appeal,\u003c/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eProcedures for dispute resolution, and\u003c/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eLimitations on assessing certain fees and the exceptions to those limitations.\u003c/li\u003e\n\u003c/ul\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe updates also reflect recent judicial decisions of the Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit pertaining to two fee categories, representative of the news media and educational institution.\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eOIP encourages all agencies to consult the \u003ca href=\"https://www.justice.gov/oip/oip-guidance/guidance-agency-foia-regulations\"\u003eguidance\u003c/a\u003e and sample language from the \u003ca href=\"https://www.justice.gov/oip/template-agency-foia-regulations\"\u003etemplate\u003c/a\u003e to the extent feasible as they update their FOIA regulations.
