The collaborative effort between HHS and National Institutes of Health’s (NIH), National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) teams will eventually enable .NET content management system users to publish content directly in the \u003ca href=\"https://digitalmedia.hhs.gov\"\u003eHHS digital media syndication storefront\u003c/a\u003e. \u003cdiv class=\"image\"\u003e\n  \u003cimg\n    src=\"https://s3.amazonaws.com/digitalgov/_legacy-img/2015/12/600-x-413-Electronic-documents-sharing-Pei-ling-Hoo-Hemera-thinkstock-99708065.jpg\"\n    alt=\"Electronic documents sharing\"/\u003e\u003c/div\u003e\n\n\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003ch2 id=\"how-did-they-do-it-and-whats-next\"\u003eHow did they do it, and what’s next?\u003c/h2\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe NIDDK team ported the existing Java/PHP codebase for the Syndication CMS plugin suite to a .NET environment suitable for Microsoft SharePoint. Currently, the teams are working on adding content tagging support to the SharePoint plugin suite. This enhancement will make it easier for users to find content in the digital media storefront. In the coming months, the Syndication .NET/Sharepoint code is expected to be open-sourced and included with the rest of the syndication code at the official \u003ca href=\"https://github.com/HHS/syndication\"\u003eHHS Syndication GitHub Page\u003c/a\u003e.\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eInterested in learning more about content syndication?
