We’ve been working hand-in-hand with the EPA to make this transformation a success by \u003ca href=\"http://fedscoop.com/hazardous-waste-regulator-portals-get-a-boost-from-epa-digital-services\"\u003esupporting such programs as eManifest\u003c/a\u003e.\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003ca href=\"https://s3.amazonaws.com/digitalgov/_legacy-img/2015/12/250-x-176-EPA-seal.jpg\"\u003e\u003cdiv class=\"image\"\u003e\n  \u003cimg\n    src=\"https://s3.amazonaws.com/digitalgov/_legacy-img/2015/12/250-x-176-EPA-seal.jpg\"\n    alt=\"The Environmental Protection Agency, E P A, seal\"/\u003e\u003c/div\u003e\n\n\u003c/a\u003eWorking with 18F is just one of many ways in which the EPA is trying to build greater capacity for delivering valuable, high-quality digital services. They are also working on ways to contract with high-quality digital service vendors, which is why the EPA just released a \u003ca href=\"https://www.fbo.gov/index?s=opportunity\u0026amp;mode=form\u0026amp;id=318612f638d28fae5675eef7bcc3dfc3\u0026amp;tab=core\u0026amp;_cview=0\"\u003eRequest for Information (RFI) for creating an Environmental Digital Services marketplace\u003c/a\u003e.\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eModeled after 18F’s \u003ca href=\"https://18f.gsa.gov/2015/01/08/creating-a-federal-marketplace-for-agile-delivery-services/\"\u003eAgile Delivery Services marketplace\u003c/a\u003e, the EPA plans to create a marketplace of vendors who specialize in modern digital practices such as human-centered design, agile software development, and DevOps. Vendors who qualify for this marketplace will then be able to bid on EPA contracts for digital services.\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe EPA is looking to distinguish this marketplace from previous efforts by evaluating vendors based on their expertise in environmental business issues and their pattern of environmentally sustainable behavior.
