I know I am guilty of that.\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eMaybe you’ve seen this \u003ca href=\"http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bGpVpsaItpU\"\u003eviral video of a woman who, distracted by Facebook on her phone\u003c/a\u003e, fell into a fountain. Pew Research recently published an article on ‘\u003ca href=\"http://www.pewresearch.org/fact-tank/2014/01/02/more-than-half-of-cell-owners-affected-by-distracted-walking/\"\u003eDistracted Walking\u003c/a\u003e.’ In the article, they stated 53% of all adult cellphone owners have been on the giving or receiving end of a distracted walking encounter. Check out the \u003ca href=\"https://twitter.com/pewinternet/status/418775359690375168\"\u003eTwitter replies to Pew’s article\u003c/a\u003e.\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAs these trends continue, government agencies must become more acutely aware of their audience and their internet browsing habits, as well as their expected \u003ca href=\"/preview/gsa/digitalgov.gov/bc-archive-content-3/2013/09/18/making-mobile-gov-user-experience-recommendations/\" title=\"Making Mobile Gov: User Experience Recommendations\"\u003euser experience\u003c/a\u003e on agency websites. Many agencies have jumped right in, providing a wide variety of mobile-optimized websites and apps to support citizens accessing government information and services.\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eContinue embracing the craze. Consider how to provide a custom browsing experience for citizens in your mobile strategy. Check out the \u003ca href=\"/preview/gsa/digitalgov.gov/bc-archive-content-3/topics/mobile/\" title=\"Mobile\"\u003eDigitalGov Platform\u003c/a\u003e for some great resources to get you going in the right direction.
