Now anytime, anywhere, the public will be able to check the condition of their local waterways.\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cdiv\u003e\n  The site uses geolocation to determine the closest waterways to the user.  Then, using the EPA\u0026#8217;s database of \u0026#8220;State water quality monitoring reports provided under the \u003ca href=\"http://cfpub.epa.gov/npdes/cwa.cfm?program_id=45\"\u003eClean Water Act\u003c/a\u003e,\u0026#8221; the site provides information on the local waterways\u0026#8217; pollution status (unpolluted vs polluted), type (including acidity, PCBs, pesticides, etc.), as well as what is being done.
